My name is Jon Jacob and I’m an experienced digital producer.
I produce video, audio, imagery, and text for digital platforms.
In addition to my freelance work, I’ve also spent 17 years in radio and digital production across a range of media
I can make a podcast for you or help you make a podcast for yourself. Or, if you don’t like editing, I can do the editing and polishing for you. It’s all up to you.
In addition to research, recording, and editing services, I can also take care of publication across multiple platforms – meaning that in some cases all you need to do is have the idea and turn up for the recording. I also provide training and creative mentoring for organisations looking to produce their own podcast.
I also produce the Thoroughly Good Classical Music Podcast (available via Spotify, iTunes and Audioboom).

Me, my training, and professional experience
I’ve worked in digital production (websites, podcasts, video and writing) for 17 years – at the Financial Times, BBC Entertainment, BBC Radio, and BBC Communications and PR.
I now work as a freelance content strategist and digital producer on various arts, government, PR and performing arts projects.
I was trained in radio production at Morley College in London, spent some time working at LBC on the Sandi Toksvig Show (often appearing on-air), and then worked at the BBC from 2005. Whilst at the BBC I reported for BBC Radio, made multimedia content for the BBC Proms, BBC Radio 3 and BBC Communications and PR.
I started producing my own podcast in 2004. I dedicated my Thoroughly Good Podcast to classical music in 2011. The current third series of the podcast is available on Audioboom, iTunes, and Spotify.
