Nora Fischer at the Dutch Centre

Yesterday was an energising day.

A meeting with a lady in Blackheath whose parting shot to me was “you’ve told me a lot about digital marketing I hadn’t realised I should be thinking about”.

After that, I discovered I’d received an invitation to an ‘an informal meeting next Tuesday’ about something I’d love to work on.

Then an invigorating discussion about ways to monetise the blog and the podcast a bit more, after which a two-hour chinwag with a former colleague about journalism, coaching and HR professionals. Restorative.

And finally, on to the Dutch Centre to host a Q and A with singer Nora Fischer (pictured) whose Deutsche Grammophon recording HUSH of baroque songs with Marnix Dorrestein providing electric guitar accompaniment is to die for.

Here’s a delectable taster – a live performance at Paridiso in Amsterdam of Cum Dederit from Vivaldi’s Nisi Dominus in G minor

Nora Fischer appears as part of the ECHO Artists Series at LSO St Lukes this Friday lunchtime from 1 pm in a programme of Ravel, Messiaen and Bartok.
