The new programme – named Thoroughly Good Classical Music – will be broadcast daily on BBC Radio 3, replacing the current drivetime show ‘In Tune’.
This new partnership is not only distinctively kicks over musical barriers, but also flattens previous notions of value for money for the Licence Fee Payer.
The series will feature many new broadcasting innovations, including venturing as far south of the Thames as Catford.
Honouring the BBC’s ongoing commitment to deliver value to the Licence Fee Payer, the first Thoroughly Good Classical Music, will be broadcast live from aisle three, International Food and Wines on Sangley Road, SE6, where local residents are invited to bring any public domain recordings they own on a USB stick for potential playlisting.
Other confirmed locations for the live broadcasts include Catford’s premiere fish bar Oh My Cod, and the Chicken Cottage on Lewisham High Street. The first week of broadcasts culminate in a live show from the top of a number 453 bus, hailed within sight of Broadcasting House reception.
