Eurovision 2017: Song and rehearsal reviews, and predictions

Cue trumpet fanfare. The Eurovision Song Contest kicks off next Tuesday.

There are two semi-finals (Tuesday 9 and Thursday 11 May 2017). The grand final is on Saturday 13 May. This year the contest is coming from Kiev in Ukraine.

As is customary for those of us with obsessive tendencies, I’ve sauntered through this year’s songs and bashed out my thoughts. I’ve included comments on the rehearsals too. The final so-called ‘Big Five’ countries will be added laterin the week. Expected qualifiers are also listed below.

If you’re looking the broad agreement of the Eurovision community (wherever that is geographically) you should probably go elsewhere.

If you’re looking for the podcasts for this year’s contest, head over to ESC Insight where you’ll find this year’s Letters from Kiev alongside last year’s Letters from Stockholm.
