A better dance, a better score and an earlier save for The Derham. Phew. This week’s Strictly was much easier to watch. The dance went well (Katie and Anton’s quickstep went at a breathtaking speed) and although the judges lacked the unequivocal enthusiasm they bestowed on some of the other acts, the pair’s scores were actually quite good.
Jamelia didn’t face the dance-off (which means Tristan’s still in the competition – yay, etc) and Kevin and Kellie are still in (yay, again) after being pitched against Carol in this week’s deciding dance.
Quite why the judges remain so enthusiastic about Jeremy Vine’s ‘performance’ I’m still not entirely clear. I fear it will be him against The Derham next week and if that is the case, I can’t see Katie will secure the judges final vote.
Bottom line is that I’d like to see Katie make it to the Blackpool edition in two weeks time. Next week is, make no bones about it, crunch time for Team Radio 3.
