#Classical365: 12 – Brahms Sonatensatz in F Mimor

Today is the first day I’ve struggled to listen to something. Energy and time have conspired to make the challenge … well, a challenge.

Back from Birmingham at lunchtime, afternoon of meetings in London and then home. It was raining hard at Lewisham station when I got there this evening. The buses were late. My bag was heavy on my shoulder.

Still, I’m 14 stone 2 lbs (I’ve lost a total of 8 stone since the beginning of the year) and I get paid on Friday. And Brahms Sonatensatz in F minor is the perfect pick-me-up. And it’s only 5 minutes long, which means I’ve got time left to watch Broadchurch.

Mondays aren’t so bad really.

I was listening to Brahms’ Sonatensatz in F Minor played by Itzhak Perlman, violin (and, I think, Vladimir Ashkenazy, piano) on Spotify

If you’ve got a suggestion for a work for me to listen to, leave a comment below or tweet me@thoroughlygood
